The travel & route from Athens center is about an hour and a half’s drive to your apartment with us in Archaia Epidavros. From the airport it is about a half hour more. At Corinth, take exit 10 from the A8 motorway towards Epidavros. Turn left at the end of the exit. If you’re coming from Patras, also take exit 8 and turn right at the end of the exit.
Panoramic views
Follow the provincial road for approximately 55 kilometers. You’ll pass several villages/towns, and the road meanders somewhat through the beautiful mountainous region along the coast.
After about 50 km, you’ll first pass the village of Nea Epidavros. Follow the road for a few more kilometers and, at some point, you’ll see the STORK restaurant on the left, offering panoramic views of our village. There’s a left turn here to reach the center of Archaia Epidavros. Do NOT take this exit.
Second exit, not first!
Pass restaurant Stork and do not take the exit Epidavros to the leftafter but follow the road for another 2 km. Then take the exit on your right for Archaia Epidavros. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left and drive under the viaduct. After about 150 meters, you’ll approach a roundabout. Go straight ahead.
Watch carefully!
Just after the roundabout, after 20 meters, you’ll see a narrow mountain road on the right, just before a closed tavern. Take this road and drive all the way up. The road is steep, and it’s often wise to turn off the air conditioning briefly to ensure you have enough power to drive smoothly uphill.
The Orange Apartments and Restaurant Michel signs along this mountain road will point you in the right direction at the two intersections. After 400 meters, you’ll reach the parking lot at the top.
